Profitable Use of TE Sites

Love them or hate them, TE always evoke an opinion out of people. Some can't see the point and other love them to death. It's true that a lot of times you're going to find other people trying to put their opportunity in them and you have to put a lot of clicking effort in to getting results but the results I've had have been positive rather than negative.

Sometimes I even surf the traffic exchanges just to find what others are promoting and how their pages look, appealing or not.

As I mentioned earlier, you need to put some effort and time into promoting through traffic exchanges. But then you get what you worked for, and promotion this way is essentially free. I always say it is best to spend your time wisely and surf 2 to 3 traffic exchanges at once. The best way to go around it is with Firefox or Explorer, because they allow you to open several pages in one window, due to their tabbed browsing. And also if you save your TE pages in bookmarks folder then you can launch them all at once by selecting "open in tabs".

What works best in TE?

I believe that the shiny corporate pages of your affiliate and networking schemes may work when that program is new, but after a while surfers will soon gloss over them and not see them after too long. So, what is the best option?

It's entirely up to you, to come up with something way better!

To do this, you'll need some web space to put your files in, but you can get this at a very reasonable price or even for free. Then you'll need to create your own advertising. An effective page would be the one that has a list of traffic exchanges referrer URL's, so, start to build you downline to earn more credits at TE that you are a member of.

Other effective page is a very simple lead gathering page like a generic recruitment one or a customer prospecting one. I started to design the first page to be totally company independent, so when people contact me through it I recommend the ones that are best suited for them. Short and sweet is the key to effective advertising in traffic exchanges. You only have around 10 to 20 seconds to grab the attention of the viewer, so you need to come up with something that everybody else isn't doing.

Don't make the mistake to cram in your pages as much as possible with banners and flashing graphics, because they will only turn your visitors away. That is very tasteless and you can promote all your programs individually with bigger effectiveness.

At the end all the hard work and effort you put in will pay off in sales and higher search engine rankings, just keep using your strategies and duplicating your steps and you'll achieve your goals in no time.

How to Get the Most from Traffic Exchanges

When you are starting our online business and you don't have the knowledge on promotion it is really hard at first. I know when I first started my online business I had no idea what traffic exchanges were, I didn't even know they existed.

My sponsor from one of my affiliate networks that I'm a member of was the first who lead me to this incredible free and easy to use way of promotion.

As time passed by I realized that Traffic Exchanges (TE) are a must in your marketing plan, because they'll bring you the traffic that you need for free.

When you join a TE you agree to surf other peoples pages and in return, they'll surf yours.

TE have been around for ages, with the largest list of subscribers, so submitting your webpage, blog or gateway to a TE you will potentially give it the exposure you need for succeeding in this business.

There are 2 types of TE, manual and auto surf. The manual TE you click through webpage’s your self and get credited each time, on the other hand with auto TE you automatically surf without the need to click. In my opinion I wouldn’t use the auto TE because, most of the surfers there don't actually read through your site or view it and you don't get potential buyers from this kind of sites.

What are the advantages of TE?

Well, it's a cheep and often free method of sending targeted traffic to your website, blog or gateway. This can help you with your page ranking in Search Engines. The traffic you generate arrives almost instantly. Some TE also allow surfers to choose an ad which is associated with pages they view. This is a good way of testing your copy before you spend money placing it in the out side world. Most TE also allow you to build a downline by referring others to them. You usually get credit for their activity, and over time your traffic becomes almost solely generated by the efforts of others. And finally you'll be exposed to a lot of products and services you wouldn't normally see, which means you'll have a better appreciation of your market and you'll pick up some good ideas about promoting your product.

There are also some downsides to TE:

*People surfing these programs are mainly trying to promote their own websites and not looking at yours. This means that you'll need to generate a lot more hits for each sale.

*When you start out you can spend long hours generating traffic from your own surfing, and because of this I recommend that you start to build your own downline as soon as you join, to eliminate this downside.

Ok, we went through the benefits and the downlines, so, now let's go through some tips on how to get the most out of TE:

Join the ones with the highest subscriber/member list, this way you'll get your pages to a wider audience.

Only join the manual TE, this way you'll get your pages more likely to be read and seen.

Find TE with the surf ratio 2:1 or better, this means that for every 2 pages you surf your site is getting viewed once.

Join TE that give you credits when your downline surfs, this allows you to generate more free traffic as you refer more and more people.

When you are choosing TE to join, look for those that have been around for a while. You are going to put a lot of work in to building your client base, and if they have been in business for over 2 years they have a better chance of lasting for 4 more.

I do recommend that you join as a free member first, until you understand enough about the program to decide if the paid benefits are worth your time and money.

At the beginning join only two or three programs, to begin with. This way you can allocate some of your traffic to promoting each TE to the other customer base. In this way you'll grow your down line and the amount of traffic you get for free.

Join at least one that allows it's surfers to choose the page they view by selecting an ad associated with the page. This will give you a valuable insight to the effectiveness of your ad copy.

Take advantage of your surfing time. Take note of the pages you view and the reasons that that made it attractive or not to you.

The pages you select to promote must convey their message at a glance ideally should contain a free offer. Your goal is to encourage the surfer to find out more, setting up a future sale.

And we are all done, with this information you'll get more visitors and buyers to your pages and also over time your TE program will feed itself to provide free traffic forever.

Introduction to Traffic Exchange

When you start to market online you are sooner or later going to come across traffic exchanges. The number of exchanges online is staggering, so if you need to know what these things are all about read on.

A traffic exchange is a system where in return for viewing the websites of others you will get credits for hits to your own sites. You can find several different types of traffic exchanges online.

They are:

Surf exchange - or also known as page exchange. The names are synonymous and they are by far the most predominant type of traffic exchange. The user is required to view a web page in their browser for a sent amount of time before clicking to earn credits and move on.

Auto surfing - like in surf exchange, the auto surf pages change by them selves and credit is received without user interaction.

Pop-up Exchanges - with these webpage’s will popup at set intervals or events. You will need to view the window for a set time before closing and receiving credit. These will usually require a small program to be downloaded and run on the user’s computer.

Now that you know what they are you need to know what they're made of. These are the things you will need to consider when comparing the different exchanges.

The surf ratio is how many pages you'll view before one of yours is displayed. These can be from 1:1 to 5:1 but are usually some where in between. Many sites will also give bonus credits to run promotions for credits. All of these will combine to determine how many credits you actually get for surfing.

You can also be credited for referring others to the exchanges. You'll receive a percentage of the credits earned by the referral, usual this will go several levels deep.

You will always be required to view the pages for 10 to 20 seconds. In surf exchanges you'll have to click on a certain button, image, and icon from several to proceed to the next page and get credits. This is because the exchanges are protecting themselves from programs surfing instead of you. If you click on the wrong icons several times, you are likely to get banned from the exchange and loosing the account. This is the anti-cheat system.

There is also an option for joining the traffic exchange as a paid member, this way you get monthly credits, a better surf ratio, more referral credits and other special offers. You can also earn real money from the people you refer to the traffic exchange. And if you don't like to surf, credits are usually offered for sale by the traffic exchanges.

But before you decide to be a paid member or purchase credits, I recommend that you join 2 or 3 traffic exchange sites and sacrifice a bit of your time and do the surfing yourself. This way you'll learn first hand what traffic exchanges are all about.

These are the things you'll need to look at when comparing traffic exchanges. There are hundreds out there with new ideas based on these principals appearing every day.

Just one more thing, when you are choosing a traffic exchange make sure that they have at least 2:1 ratio, a referral program that allows you to earn extra credits, bonuses that offer additional credits. You also need to know for how long the traffic exchange has been around, the more the better, and also how many members do they have again the more the better.

Now, surfs up! Start surfing and getting the traffic you need.

Traffic Exchange Sites

The most important aspect of building an online business is getting the traffic to your site or blog.

Most ways of advertising or promoting cost a great amount of money, but if you don't have the means the ony best thing you can do is go to Traffic Exchange sites.

There are hundreds of Traffic Exchange Sites online but only a few of them are any good.

The things you need to consider are;

* ratio 2:1
* referral program, that gives you extra credits when you referr someone to them

* free sign up, also offer paid sign up if you later on decide to upgrade
* join the ones that have the highest member count
